The film takes place in the United States in the future (Panem).
Panem is separate in twelve differents districts.
The film opens with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), a girl of the twelfht district.
She must go to the Capitol to fight to the death against twenty three other tributes more and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), another boy from the twelve district.
For many people the best thing of the film is the relationship of Katniss and Peeta, and the guy who really loves Katniss, Gale (Liam Hemsworth), his best friend.
But for me the best part of the movie is the lesson. In the future we can end up like in the film or in the books.
Gary Ross directed the film very well, the special effects are really incredible and the cast is full of great actors who made the movie better.
Overall, I would recommend going to see the film.
